Gary L. Alston is a husband, father, and grandfather currently residing in College Park MD. Gary was inspired to begin writing again after joining a Toastmasters group.
"Back in the day" Gary did readings and lectures at: Howard University, American University, George Washington University,
and others. He has also read with reknown poets Amiri Baraka and Sonya Sanchez to name a couple. Publishing in: Vangard, Black Box Magazine, Afro-American, Sentry Post, and others. Sterling A. Brown known as father of black poetry once said "Sincerity, Deep Feeling, Rebelliousness, Hard-boiled Humor, Pride" about his work.
